I'm Sure I Must Belong Somewhere

(People's Liberation Leather Jacket with DIY studs, Zara Stripe Shirt, Arden B Skinny Jeans, Underground Buckled Boots)

One of the questions I get asked the most is if I ever just feel lazy and throw on a t-shirt and jeans, or whether I plan my outfits ahead of time. Well, unless it's a big event such as a wedding or some kind of fancy Christmas party, I hardly ever plan my outfits. I just go into my closet and pick whatever item that I see first depending on the weather, then I create an outfit around that.
That's probably why sometimes my outfits don't work or I guess it's not as fashionable I'd like it to be because I normally get ready in 15-20 minutes (including brushing my teeth and putting my make-up on)
During school days such as today where I am constructing models and get covered with saw dust by the end of the class, I wear t-shirts and jeans with my cowboy boots, in this case, my new Underground boots and don't wear a bunch of rings or accessories because they get in the way when building models (they've dented a few of my models..)
So there, this was taken right after class to show you guys how I normally look when I don't have anything going on.

I like your jacket! Today I have seen one very similar on the sales but I still think that maybe next year is old fashioned...who knows...maybe I return tomorrow to buy it!! jeje!

Hope to see you next year in the street in SF, I'm going to study at Berkeley ;)

I can relate to the whole being comfortable when building models thing. My boyfriend is an architecture major so I am around all those people all the time while they are building models. They are too busy to look super cute!
I love your shoes, though.

love it... it's pretty close to what I've worn all fall/winter long- lots of stripes, skinny jeans, leather jackets and motorcycle boots!

btw, how can you look so cute and so rebel at the same time? you're amazing!

You look LOVELY when you don't have anything going on! I really can't wear much jewellery on a day to day basis and I also take 20 mins getting ready! Wish I could get my lazy arse out of bed earlier though.

I love your outfit! Especially your jacket. I've been eye-ing some leather jackets for a while now but I live in Toronto and it's been snowing and freezing cold for the past few days. ..super jealous of your nice weather!

Love this outfit, simple and chic, comfy

I think people ask these questions cause they want you to say that you wear sweats and dont shower or something. You look great no matter what I think!!

Hey beautiful!
I love those boots. I've had a pair on my eBay wish list for ages now.
And it's nice to hear that someone else doesn't mind getting their hands dirty! (or saw dusty in your case)

So effortless. Love how you added the studs to the peoples liberation jacket. I have an old A&F denim jacket I want to cut up into a vest then stud it all over. :)

Well chica your outfit still has it going on even when you have nothing much going on that particular day! I feel when you've got that stylistic instinct, you just got it... you don't have to think too hard about planning it, right? I feel the same way... just open up my closet, grab some pieces and plan on the spot to see what works/ what doesn't :) Even though there ARE some days when no matter how many clothes I pull from the closet, NOTHING seem to work on me!!! (Mostly it was because of my mood that day or something lol)

I love how your looks are stylish yet functional! It's so tempting to dress like the runways, but also so impractical for everyday life. This is why I love your blog -- you combine the two so effortlessly :)

One major thing I like about your blog is that you aren't trying to break into the fashion industry(from what I read) like some other bloggers. It's great that you have something else going on.
and while I like your style better with your hair down and dressed up, this look isn't bad at all.

Randomly put together outfits are the best ones imo since they're the most organic and you can tell that you actually go out and wear this stuff, it's not just for your photos! haha to put an outfit like that together, I would totally have to plan it out!

i've wanted those boots forever, and now that i've seen how good they look on, i'm going to have to get them (if i find them in my size!).

you make dressing "down" look easy =)
