A Conversation With the Trees

(Gifted Charlotte Russe Lace Dress, NYLA Platform Boots)

These photos were taken during our drive back to San Francisco from LA.
Besides talking about how sad Charcoal seemed to be away from his new girlfriend Bijju, 90% of our conversation was about how much we wanted to move back to LA.
Waking up to sunshine every morning instead of fog was such a pleasure and walking the dogs in my boxer shorts and T-shirt felt so much better than walking Charcoal in a faux fur coat with boots.
I'm really going to try my hardest to go back home at least once a month. =)

How funny. I used to live in SF for 10 yrs and recently moved to LA. When I went to SF 3 wks ago, oh goshhh...I miss everything about San Fran, there's nothing quite like it. I honestly think SF is much better, it's more European city, the vibe, the people and the "food"!!! I'm thinking of moving back next yr. I don't like how inconvenient LA is, wasting time in the traffic, 5 stars yelp food ratings in LA it's like 3 stars for me. lol. But, yes one thing that noone can beat LA is the "weather". It's always full sunshine here. I agree with you and more places to go to. Ppl are more friendly in SF tho, feels more like friends and family. I always meet new ppl so easily unlike here. Lots of LA wannabes from small town. After all, yes, this is Hollywood. haha xx, Kris

Moving back to L.A. sounds like a great idea, then all your doggies can be back together. Plus, you've got a lot of dancing partners down here. I'm into the hat, who makes it?

I know exactly what you mean about moving back to your home city. I'm currently in LA, and all of a sudden, I long to move back to SF. Guess we are reverse! I'll be taking a trip back north this week! Great shoes!

Fantastically put together... I hope you do get to enjoy SF even a little bit... or move back to LA ;)

1) Those booties are KILLER!!!
2) Sorry to hear about being a lil homesick? There's always pros and cons of being here or there right. Hopefully you'll get the chance to make it home more often.

haha i guess we'll always miss/want what we dont have :( i live in singapore where it's summer all year round & sometimes i just wake up & feel all grouchy because of the super hot & humid weather. it's my ultimate wish to stay somewhere where i could wake up to a fog & cooling weather everyday :P

This outfit is fantastic. I've been blog surfing all day (as I do every day) and this has to be the best one I've seen so far!

I can also relate to your desire for the sun. While I live in Bangkok now I am from SF, and am moving back in Jan, and I'm already scared for living in the fog year round.

I was born and raised in SF but now live in LA.
Sometimes I want to move back but I just can't imagine leaving the sun.
There are good and bad things to living in either norcal or socal.

I love the outfit you have on!

if it makes you feel better, there's a heatwave of sorts this week in SF so there's plenty of sunshine to go around :)

Hey Aimee, I finally found that copy of Elle Girl Korea July 2010,
you know the one you posted about before http://songofstyle.blogspot.com/2010/07/infinite-vacation.html.

Send me an email girlie, i'm having trouble trying to send you one.

Even though LA weather is much nicer, San Francisco is a much cooler city in my opinion.

great pics...love the boots. i think i like sf better too. although im in "the oc" and get over it quite quickly.
